This is a basic example showing how you can use the GSM2 Click board with an Arduino UNO using the standard GSM library that ships with the Arduino.

It is based on some of the sample code that is available in the GSM reference section of the Arduino website www.arduino.cc

The program simply checks if the modem is powered up - if not it brings it up.

If it suceeds it will read the IMEI and then proceed to try and connect to a network.

When it connects it displays the name of the network and the signal strength.

Finally it goes into an endless loop waiting for a call. If a call is received it will retrieve the calling telephone number, hang up the call and then send the caller an SMS text message to say "I just missed your call"

Notes:

1) The Arduino UNO runs at 5V. By default the GSM2 Click board runs at 3.3V, so you will need to move the Zero Ohm resistor on the GSM2 Click board from the 3.3V position to the 5V position

2) This example will not run with the MikroElektronika Arduino UNO click shield because the Arduino Library uses different pins to communicate with the modem. I will be posting another article where the pins have been changed to work with the Arduino UNO click shield.
